Postbeta updates


SmashTown USA has been going through growing
pains, but it has been worth it. The initial game that was posted was to see if
the mechanics worked while the game was running. It does, and it does not
crash. Since we are not programmers, this is a big step forward. The next step
was to create levels that make sense. When designing the stages, our job was to
look at what mechanics we had and make a game to suit the play style. The game
has moving, jumping, punching, blocking, and an uppercut attack. So, the levels
are designed in a Mario Bros meets Streets of Rage style. We are now working on
player and enemy damage and jumping distance. There are also puzzles that make
use of the blocking and uppercut. That will be in version 0.6.
